Originating in the United States, it is a close relative of the Staffordshire Bullfighting Terrier, but usually slightly larger in size and more muscular. The coat is short and smooth, with a variety of colors, sometimes with stripes or markings. Very intelligent, lively, loyal and friendly to family members. It is also gentle towards children and other pets, but may show caution towards strangers.
